The Director of Content Strategy is responsible for leading the creation of engaging content across multiple channels and formats to grow Fort’s brand presence and engage with our target audiences. This role demands a creative visionary with expertise in multi-channel content strategies, including social media, websites, newsletters, and more, capable of crafting and delivering high-quality video, visual, and written content that resonates with investors, brokers, and tenants.


  • Serve as the brand’s chief storyteller, ensuring that all content—whether video, visual, or written—conveys the desired message and supports the overall marketing objectives.
  • Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of a comprehensive content marketing strategy that targets Fort’s primary audiences and supports business development initiatives.
  • Create content that aligns with the digital marketing strategy across various channels, like social media (e.g., LinkedIn), the corporate website, and email campaigns, maintaining a consistent brand voice and delivering high-quality messaging.
  • Lead the creation of diverse content types including:
    • Video Content: Direct the production of video content that tells the Fort story, showcases properties, and highlights market insights.
    • Visual/Imagery: Create or oversee the design of compelling visual assets such as digital banners, infographics, and photography that align with brand standards.
    • Copy/Written Content: Lead and inspire the marketing team to produce high-quality written content for social posts, articles, quarterly newsletters, and press releases.
  • Utilize data from audience insights, market research, and content performance metrics to refine content strategies and optimize engagement across all channels.
  • Collaborate with the leasing team to develop targeted marketing materials and ensure consistent messaging in documents distributed both internally and externally.
  • Spearhead the creative direction and content storytelling that enhances Fort’s position as an industry thought leader.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that content strategy aligns with marketing campaigns, events, and other business activities.
  • Report directly to the Executive Vice President of Marketing.


  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy and production.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful content marketing strategies.
  • Experience in managing video production, visual design, and written content creation.
  • Must be passionate about the creation of content with an understanding of how tone of voice and storytelling generates engagement.


  • Ability to manage projects through Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or other relevant design and video editing software.
